Cute, Nostalgic, Retro Rocket Ships

I bought these to go with a couple of wooden dinos my girl friend bought me last Christmas. As a fan of old sci-fi movies from the 50's, these appeal to me. As kid's toys, they are for very young kids. They have 7 pieces each, totaling 21 pieces, not 18 as the description states. They are also easier to put together than Tinker Toys. And they look just like the photos. As a designer, I appreciate how these assembly line wooden toys look carefully hand crafted.

Great toy!

They are perfect for rocket obsessed toddlers! All wood, they look just like the pictures. The parts are interchangeable and connect and disconnect easily for impatient little fingers :) we've had them for a couple months, they hold up very well!

These rockets are pretty neat! I bought this rocket set for the intention to bribe my nieces and nephews attention from their parents, when I needed to babysit them. I'd ended up playing with the rockets, first. I have chosen this set because of the sci-fi theme, there are not many wood toys with this theme out there. One rocket is about the size of my hand or the width of a tissue box. Great size for a bring along toy to keep in your bag. They have nice solid wood build. You can customize it with different pieces or even stack them up together, so it becomes a triple decker rocket!

Imaginative and fun play!

Well built, sturdy, and great for imaginative play. We bought along with other Tender Leaf rocket toys for a 2-1/2 year old and it has kept their attention for long periods of time. The rockets easily come apart and back together for great fine motor activity (but parts do stay together when playing). Lots of fun and a new favorite

Fun and Creative, But Not the Most Durable

This rocket construction toy has been a big hit with our son — he loves assembling the rocket ships and playing pretend launches. It definitely encourages creativity and fine motor skills. That said, the pieces don’t feel very sturdy. Some parts seem like they could break or stop fitting together well with frequent use, and the rocket doesn’t always stay assembled during play. It’s not the most durable toy out there, but our son still really enjoys it — just maybe better for gentler play or younger builders.

Excellent toddler gift

I love the wooden interlocking design of these rocket ships. These are fun for my son to play with. The design is durable and has held up to my toddler throwing them across his toy room (rockets fly…and clearly the toy designer thought of that when building these space shuttles). The colors are cute too!

Great for a two year old

My two year old granddaughter loves playing with this and enter changing the pieces. She has recently become enamored with rocket ships from her visit to the Smithsonian air and space Museum, so she enjoys this a lot.

New favorite toys for my grandsons

My grandsons love the new toy sets. I purchased the wood robots and the wood rockets. They sit for a good while taking them apart and rebuilding them. The pieces are good sized for their small hands, one grandson is 4 years old and the other is 2 years old. They are made in Indonesia. They are not cheap but they are good quality wood toys.

so cute

these are so cute but the "18 pieces" is a bit misleading being that some of the "pieces' are a little tiny speck. I hate when Amazon descriptions say this as if it makes it more appealing that there are more pieces

Very cute

My granddaughter loves Rockets and puzzles. She is two and half and can take them apart and put them back together. The legs that hold the rocket up are a bit hard to put back on with out my help. However we fly them to a paper moon and have mooncake she loves playing with them.

Great quiet STEAM toy for preK+

Was a great gift for my 3.5 year old. He loves to take them apart, rearrange, design crazy rockets, and we keep them in his room as a great Quiet Time toy—and they even add to the decor of his Space themed bedroom.

Favorite toy around here

My 3.5yr old loves these and I think they are absolutely adorable. Nice to have rocket toys that aren’t gross plastic. They are easy to assemble and rearrange into creative configurations, but my he loves them best in their standard rocket form. Some reviews mentioned that the connections becomes a little loose over time and they don’t stay together as well, which is true. However, I just put some Elmers glue in the holes and let them set overnight - no problem pulling them apart again but it seemed to make the connections tight again.

Not as exciting as I thought they would be

My 3 year old loves rockets. But by that Apparently he means The long, cylindrical rockets with minimal wings. So he doesn’t live the tripod look. Fortunately these are pretty sturdy and he can build them without the wings. And although they are made to be interchangeable, the design dictates a fairly obvious “right” way to put them together. Last, one of the boosters was cracked when we got it. But it was easy to put back together with wood glue so that wasn’t a big deal. They just probably weren’t the right fit for my son.

Super fun, good quality! 3 yo son loves them. And we turned the box into a "space pack" with the help of a long ribbon and some tape, too!

Love these little rockets

Great set of little rockets. My 3 year old loves them and they provide hours of fun. I like that he can switch parts around to create new designs. I like that they are kid powered..no batteries to deal with. Just assign a little bin to hold the parts so it will continue to give pleasure for a long time..Spurs imagination!

Got these for my 3 year old sons birthday. He loves them! Very easy to take apart, but stay together perfectly when playing with them. They were smaller than I expected, but that's fine. They are about 6" tall. If you have a kid who loves puzzles or building Toys, these are a great gift!
