Care & Safety Guide for Wooden Toys
1. Cleaning & Sanitizing
- Daily Cleaning: Gently wipe the surface with a soft, lint-free cloth dampened with plain water.
- Deep Sanitizing: Use a 1:1 mixture of white vinegar and water. The vinegar acts as a natural, non-toxic disinfectant that is safe for children. Do not use harsh chemicals or alcohol-based cleaners.
- Dry Immediately: Always wipe away any excess moisture with a dry cloth.
- IMPORTANT: Never soak or immerse wooden toys in water. Excessive water causes the wood fibres to swell, leading to warping, cracking, or the growth of mould.
2. Environmental Factors
- Avoid Direct Sunlight: Prolonged exposure to UV rays can cause the wood colours to fade and may lead to brittle surfaces.
- Keep Away from Heat: Store toys away from radiators, heaters or air conditioning vents.
- Indoor Use Only: Our toys are designed for indoor play. If used outdoors, ensure they are brought back inside and cleaned of any dirt or moisture immediately.
3. Safety First
Your child’s safety is our top priority.
- Regular Inspections: Periodically check toys for any loose parts, cracked wood or signs of excessive wear.
- Adult Supervision: While our toys are tested to the highest safety standards, we recommend adult supervision during playtime, especially for toys with smaller components.
- Discontinue Use: If a toy becomes structurally damaged or broken, please discontinue use immediately to avoid injury.
4. Assembly (If Applicable)
- Please follow the provided manual carefully.
- Do not over-tighten screws to avoid splitting the wood.
