They are sturdy and beautiful. The wood is smooth. I don’t have to worry about my little one choking on them. Only slight improvement that can be made is that there is no size proportion- snail and rabbit the same size.

My daughter LOVES these. They’re difficult to stack but not impossible, so it keeps her interested but stops her from getting overly frustrated. She generally stacks the animals off of the tree because that’s easier, but it works both ways. I love that this also helps with identification, and she can tell me what each piece is as she stacks. They’re also just great for pretend play in general. Really enjoy this set and I LOVE that it comes with its own storage bag.

This was a birthday gift for a two year old. His family lives in a mountain community and i figured he would enjoy a toy that includes the animals that live around him. He was very excited when he unwrapped it. I cannot believe what a steal this is. The animals are high quality and cute. I love the different ways to stack and balance. It's a good learning toy as well. The pieces are a little small, but it's such an amazing activity, the size doesn't bother me.
